Self-evolution is the alchemy of success. It is the iron ore of knowledge, the fuel of char- acter, the fire of experience, the hammer of intelligence, the catalyst of persistence and the cool water of wisdom that determines our future.
We face new challenges every day. You can't escape that challenge, but you can do a lot to prepare and overcome!
Sometimes, the challenge may be new to you but there is a high probability that someone else has already met that challenge successfully. When we add the catalyst of a mentor to the alchemy, it won't take as long to figure out how to respond to the challenge.
Sometimes, the challenge is totally new and the old solutions just won't work. This is the time for like minds to unite and form new metal in the forge of creativity.

The recording, editing and hosting of our video features is paid for by sponsors. To acquire quality content, we are always trying to match sponsors with appropriate guest speakers.
Sponsored Video
When a sponsor pays for the video we put our sponsors interests first. We look for an appropriate fit between the sponsor, the subject mater, and the speaker. The sponsor will always have the final approval on the content, before we publish, and of course it will have to pass our content guidelines as well. Sponsored video is branded in accordance with the sponsors requirements.
Self Sponsored Video
Business owners, authors, consultants, coaches and professional speakers can use our high traffic web site to build product and service awareness. For example, a wine importer might provide our viewers with insight into new wine selections, and an investment broker might offer new information on how to take advantage of new tax laws. Our viewers appreciate entertainment, education and useful information.
When 'Maven's Roost' is your Sponsor
From time to time we will invite guests and pay for the production ourselves. In this scenario we retain exclusive rights to broadcast and do not provide anyone with a copy of the video. Our guests appreciate the complimentary exposure. The guest is welcome to link to our web site.
Content Guidelines
- Subject matter may be on any business or community oriented subject.
- It should have substantial educational, news, information or entertainment value.
- We do not publish material with religious, ethnic, gender biased or slanderous inference. In all cases, we reserve the right to edit the material or not publish it, and we are not responsible for any of your costs if we reject a submission. We are more than happy to help you pre-plan your content.
Production Details
We produce high quality video and audio streams at our studio in York Region. For guests and advertisers from other parts of the globe, you can have your video produced locally and send it to us for hosting.
- Video produced in our studio starts at $250 for a short, live-to-tape productions. (subject to specific agreements).
- Green Screen Productions starting at $700 per day. (subject to specific agreements).
- For longer broadcasts, infomercials and location shooting, please contact us for pre-production planning and quotes.
- When supplying finished productions for broadcasting, the video and audio quality must be reasonably good, if not professional. We reserve the right to reject material that does not conform to our technical standards. If you are sending video to be hosted on this site, please have your production studio contact us directly for technical specifications.
Notes to Guest Speakers
Nothing, absolutely nothing, will ever replace preparation and rehearsal. When you are working live-to-tape it's the same as being live on TV or on stage - if you make a mistake, ignore it and keep going.
We strongly recommend that you
- Work it out on paper first
- Rehearse it out-loud several times before you arrive
- Have your key-points on paper, and in hand when you arrive
If you are including images or Power Point slides in your broadcast, there are specific guidelines for doing this. As this effects the cost of production, this must be prearranged with your sponsor. Please makes these arrangements early, before you come to the studio.
